Congratulations to NEWFDA’s 2020 Person of the Year, Sharon Delaney!
NEWFDA has named Sharon Delaney of Bozzuto’s Inc. as its esteemed 2020 Person of the Year. She will be honored at the NEWFDA Convention Nov 5-8th, 2020 in Ft. Lauderdale.
Sharon is Vice President of Procurement and the grocery business is in her blood. The daughter of an esteemed meat department man, Sharon followed in her father’s footsteps and joined the wholesale food industry right out of high school. For 30 years, Sharon’s passion for the business has been contagious, positively impacting her peers, her customers and her community.
Sharon joined Bozzuto’s in 2000 as a Grocery Category Manager quickly rising to Director of Procurement and on to her now role as Bozzuto’s VP of Procurement. Under her leadership, Bozzuto’s has continued to achieve industry-leading service levels, resulting in positive sales trends and the ultimate measure of success: superb customer satisfaction.

She has been an active board member at the North East Wholesale Food Distributors Association for the past 12 years, with an Executive Board role over the past 6 years. She has also served as the NEWFDA Chairperson. “I am truly grateful to be recognized as this year’s NEWFDA Person of the Year. It has been an honor to be a part of NEWFDA over the past 12 years,” says Sharon. “Personally, NEWFDA has assisted me in developing valuable connections within the Industry.
